In this work, my Floating series,  I have tried to capture the feeling of abandonment I know so well; the total and blissful release of body to element, almost a trance like state.

The theme emerged whilst I was experimenting with paint and in retrospect I realise the last year has indeed been one of floating; perhaps even being adrift. It's been a process of surrender  to what is ... and along the way these paintings emerged during my weekly class.
